In most literatures, why it is generally chosen to do a Vlasov-refinement on Euler-Bernoulli model but not on Timoshenko model. Is there a reason for it? There are very few texts where there are 7 1D variables instead of 5 which also include the shear deformation terms . i.e.theta2 and theta3 also as independent variables ?
