This is truly a great initiative for engineers and scientists working in composite structures, bringing together innovation, collaboration, and opportunities for impactful research.
I am Dr. Muhammad Asif, PhD in Mathematics (COMSATS University Islamabad, 2023). My doctoral research focused on the dispersion of elastic waves in multilayered and composite structures, emphasizing mathematical modeling and analytical methods. I worked extensively on:
Wave propagation and vibration in composite and sandwich plates
Dynamic response of layered structures on elastic/viscoelastic foundations
Influence of cracks, delamination, and defects on structural stability
These studies are central to structural health monitoring, non-destructive testing, and advanced vibration analysis.
Future Research Plans
I aim to expand my work into:
Composite Materials Mechanics with fracture, fatigue, and creep analysis
Stochastic and seismic wave dispersion in layered media
Eco-smart and Industry 4.0 aligned frameworks for structural diagnostics
Integration of mathematics with mechanics and materials science for innovative solutions in aerospace, civil, and energy applications
Postdoc Aspiration
I am actively seeking a Postdoctoral position in Composite Materials Mechanics / Structural Mechanics to further contribute to advancing modeling, simulation, and experimental validation in this field. I am particularly motivated to collaborate on projects at the interface of mathematics, mechanics, and materials engineering, bringing both analytical and interdisciplinary perspectives.
