Regarding the I-beam example, the problem statement provides some conflicting details. In the overview, height, defined as h = 3.0 m, applies to the outside of the upper and lower flanges, as shown in Figure 25. Baselines shown in Figure 26 appear to agree with this. However, the output shown in Figure 27 reveals that the height actually applies from the outside of the lower flange to the inside of the upper flange. Futhermore, the reference axis is actually on the inside of the upper flange.
